Is it safe to use this for sensitive documents?
Yes, in the sense that nothing is uploaded — all processing happens locally in your browser using JavaScript, so your files never leave your device.
How much smaller will Compress make my PDF?
It depends on the file. Compress repacks the PDF's internal structure, which helps most with files that have many pages or were saved by older software. It doesn't reduce image quality, so a PDF that is mostly photos or scans will shrink very little.
Is there a file size limit?
Practical limits come from your browser's available memory rather than a fixed cap — very large PDFs, in the hundreds of MB, may be slow or run into browser memory limits.
